Privacy Notice

TBD Networks, producer of the TBD Networks site, believes that strong electronic privacy is crucial for the ongoing success of the Internet as a community-based medium. Unless you designate otherwise, the information you enter here will be known to only two parties: you and TBD Networks.

While we will strive to deliver information that is specifically relevant to you, our pledge is that TBD Networks will not release your personal data to anyone else without your consent – period. If others want this information, including your name or your email address, only you can choose to give it to them.

When we do present information to our business partners (outside source), unless you tell us otherwise, it is in the form of aggregate statistics compiled among all of our visitors’ answers to survey questions as well as grouped on-site behavior

From time to time, TBD Networks may introduce new products and services to its users. To the extent these new products and services affect this policy, this policy will be updated and you will be informed of these updates and any privacy conditions related to these services.

You may change the status of whether you wish to receive TBD Networks offers and communications at any time.

Use of traffic data

Each time a visitor comes to the TBD Networks Web site, we collect some information to improve the overall quality of the online experience. At TBD Networks Web sites, we collect the visitor’s domain name (e.g., what domain name the user is logged on from), referral data (e.g., we record the address of the last URL a user visited prior to clicking through to a TBD Networks Web site), and browser and platform type (e.g., a Netscape browser on a Linux platform).

In addition to collecting these types of information, TBD Networks’ search engine, may collect aggregate search terms for internal reporting. The TBD Network Web sites collect visitor information for purposes of product monitoring, product improvement, and targeted information.

We also count, track, and aggregate the visitor’s activity into our analysis of general traffic flows at our sites (e.g. tracking where traffic comes from, how traffic flows within the TBD Networks properties, etc.). To these ends, we may merge information about you into group data, which may then be shared on an aggregated basis with our business partners; but TBD Networks will not disclose your individual identity or personal data without your permission. When TBD Networks does present aggregated information to outside companies, no one will be able to identify you or contact you.

Use of cookies

TBD Networks sites use cookies for internal reporting. Cookies are a standard Internet technology that allow us to both store and retrieve login information on a user’s system. Our Web server automatically asks a new user whether his or her browser will agree to accept a TBD Networks cookie file. If a visitor accepts, our Web server will identify the user’s cookie for TBD Networks’ use internally.

Other companies which place advertising on our site also have the ability to assign their cookies to you in a process that TBD Networks does not control. However, cookies cannot be used to identify individuals, only machines, so these advertisers will not know who you are – and TBD Networks will not tell them without your consent.

Use of email addresses collected from newsletter subscriptions

After signing up to receive a TBD Networks newsletter by email, users will start receiving a TBD Networks content newsletter delivered on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, as well as occasional product-related announcements. On TBD Networks’ Web sites that offer newsletters, we collect subscribers’ email addresses in order to distribute those newsletters and product-related announcements.

Other circumstances

From time to time, TBD Networks may sponsor sweepstakes, contests, or other events that require the collection, processing, and storage of individual contact and demographic information to be used for the event. TBD Networks may also co-sponsor these events along with other companies, in which case the user’s individual contact and demographic information is likely to be shared with other participating sponsors. A registrant’s personal contact and demographic information will not be released to third-party or non-participating organizations without the user’s consent, and TBD Networks will request that co-sponsors of such events uphold the privacy of the registrants’ information.

When appropriate, an option will be made available for users to choose to receive information from third-party organizations during the event registration process. This option may be made available to events TBD Networks sponsors on behalf of its own properties, and/or through registration processes maintained by an event’s other co-sponsors.

2. With whom does TBD Networks share the information it gathers/tracks?

When we do present information to our business partners, it is in the form of grouped statistics compiled from survey questions and on-site behavior. TBD Networks will not disclose the contact or demographic information of any individual user to business partners or any other outside organization without the express permission of the individual.

If a user wants to receive information from other reputable organizations whose products or services TBD Networks thinks he or she might find interesting, users can choose the appropriate option when registering for newsletters, sweepstakes, contests, or other events that TBD Networks sponsors. In this case, user information will be shared with the partner organization. TBD Networks will never disclose individual contact or demographic information without user consent.

If you do choose to allow TBD Networks to share your personally identifiable information with reputable outside organizations, and you later decide to unsubscribe, TBD Networks will make every effort to remove your information from the list we share with other sources promptly following your unsubscribe request. However, TBD Networks is not responsible for the removal of your personal information from third-party lists if you have previously authorized TBD Networks to distribute it.

3. What is TBD Networks unsubscribe and data-removal policy?

Unsubscribing from TBD Networks newsletters

If you would like to change your subscriptions to any of our newsletters, please follow the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each newsletter.
